Even though there won’t be a Twilight film to promote at this years MTV Music Awards, doesn’t mean the stars from the Saga aren’t able to be apart of the show……Miss Ashley will be presenting an award this year. MTV released the news today..

Four-time nominee Ke$ha and “Twilight” star Ashley Greene will also be among the night’s presenters when the show goes live on September 12 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – Fashion is helping fight cancer with the help of Super Saturday, the Donna Karan-founded annual event to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Among the celebrities lending their support this year are “Twilight” star Ashley Greene, Kelly Ripa, and Rachel Zoe.

Taking place Saturday, July 31st at Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill, NY, the daylong fundraiser includes the world famous garage sale, which includes pieces from over 200 designers including Donna Karan, Carolina Herrera, Diana von Furstenberg, Calvin Klein, Charlotte Ronson, Giorgio Armani, and Charlotte Ronson, among others.

The “Designers A to Zoe” booth by Rachel Zoe is back for a third year and highlights designers such as Chloe, Derek Lam, Stella McCartney, Oscar de la Renta, and Temperley London.

If a high-fashion playground isn’t enough to keep you entertained, there’s also going to be a gaming lounge and spa treatments including pedicures, hand therapy, and more. Rides, games, and special performances will also be on hand for kids.

Home shoppers can also get in on the act with the help of QVC, which is hosting a special “Super Saturday Live” event on July 31st at 2pm ET. They’ll offer half-price apparel, accessories, jewelry and more with proceeds benefitting the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Last year’s Super Saturday raised over $3.7 million for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Given the series’ rabid “Twihard” fan base—legions of whom were locked in long before the film’s first scene was shot—if Greene hadn’t been an eerily perfect fit for Alice, the filmmakers would have heard about it. “The fans were already there,” Greene says. “Before they knew Ashley Greene, they knew Alice Cullen, and they all had an idea of how she looked.”

Twilight‘s Ashley Greene and Hung‘s Thomas Jane are in talks to join the cast of LOL, a remake of a French comedy that will star Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Greene will play “a high school bad girl,” presumably a classmate of Miley’s. Cyrus is going through a break up with her “more sexually experienced boyfriend” (perhaps he could not be tamed), while her mother (Moore) is moving on from her divorce. Jane will play Miley’s father.

For someone who’s 23 and typecast as a high school student, Greene is making the most of it. She’s also playing a rebellious high school teenager in the comedy Butter (with Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Garner, and Modern Family‘s Ty Burrell). Do we want to see her graduate in Hollywood, or do we like the idea that she might channel some of her Alice Cullen maturity into other “teen” roles and make them likeable? Emma Stone can’t carry that burden alone.

Now that Twilight star Ashley Greene is the new face of Avon cosmetics, I’m switching my allegiance to Team Alice (sorry, Edward). I’m also getting a premonition that PETA is presenting a Kind Choices Award to Ashley for her decision to represent this cruelty-free company. OK, I can’t really foresee things like Alice Cullen can, but the part about the award is true.

It doesn’t take a psychic to know why we’re so psyched about Ashley’s affiliation with Avon. The company is a true industry leader: In 1989, Avon became the first major cosmetics company in the world to end all testing on animals. So here’s to the dawn of a new era of Avon ads featuring Ashley! And congratulations to the lovely actor for winning PETA’s award!

Although Ashley Greene can’t predict the future, it looks like she does have something in common with her “Twilight Saga” character Alice Cullen — she loves clothes! Over the course of her three year rise in fame she’s proved that she’s one of Hollywood’s budding new fashionistas, and a couple of weeks ago she was awarded “Style Icon” at the annual Young Hollywood Awards. It’s no wonder that the 23-year-old posed for the cover of the July issue of ASOS Magazine looking more like a model than an actress.

The cover shot is stunning — she’s wearing a purple jumper, sky high heels, and Ashley’s pose is a lot more edgy than in recent photographs. I barely recognized her!

“I love fashion” she tells ASOS. And along with fashion, she loves shoes. “I love Jimmy Choo, although they’re highly uncomfortable,” she admits. And when she describes her personal style she explains, “But I like to do things in moderation. I don’t like the trashy look. So if I’m wearing a short skirt and heels, I’ll cover up on top.”

But Ashley is definitely not scared of being sexier. “At night it’s darker colors, a little bit sexier, a little bit edgier, and I’ll wear heels…if you go really natural during the day, you can transform into this alter ego at night” she tells the mag. And a transformation is literally what Ashley has done in recent years since her breakout role in “Twilight.” Of course though it came with a price — a flurry of paparazzi.

Although the young starlet admits to not having it as bad as Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart, she still isn’t comfortable with it. “The other day I had eight paparazzi following me. For what? To watch me eat ice cream? It’s just silly,” she confessed.

Because of all the recent madness it looks like Ashley might be relocating to the Big Apple to escape the flashing cameras. “When you can’t function in your everyday life, and you can’t walk around without something being started, it’s unnecessary and it takes away from what we’re here to do. It’s why I’m looking for an apartment in New York,” she explains.
